Welts Apart Cowl
Wedges stack up between garter welts that meet and diverge in this short row cowl. Working the Japanese method in the round shapes the wedges in both directions, while twisted rib provides additional texture.
Finished Size: About 26” circumference and 10” high.
Yarn: Worsted weight (#4 Medium)
Shown here: Anzula For Better Or Worsted (80% superwash wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 200 yd 182m/4 oz115g): Prudence, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size US 8 (5mm): 24” (60 cm) circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: 1 marker (m); 28 removable m; yarn needle.
Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rows = 4” in St st.
