The pattern gives instruction for using either chunky or aran weight yarn. Although Harmony 10 ply is listed as a worsted, it definitely works up like a chunky.

I suggest at least 300 yds of Aran weight yarn to be on the safe side. Some people found 250 yrds worked, and others needed more.

I dyed the yarn and knit these cosy cable knit mittens for my friend Wendy (in the photo). Don’t you think the cable looks like sunshine!!!
