The idea of this design was to make an Ear Warmer for my niece who ski’s in the Adirondack’s.

Well, I was using a FPDC and when I got the tails finished that this was going to be WAY bigger than an Ear Warmer so it morphed into a hat. So I kept going and it just seemed to get taller (which is normal) but it got WIDER. Man! I wasn’t going to let it beat me so I finished it. I have a 24” head and this was too big for me.

So, next time I make it into a hat I have to to remember to make the ribbing 1 1/2” to 2” shorter since it REALLY stretches in FPDC.

Instead of writing the pattern in FPDC, I wrote it in the WAISTCOAT / KNIT Stitch. This will make the cats manageable and, perhaps, give me more room to add more cats.
