Wendy Shawl
A super stash buster leftovers shawl pattern. I invented this to use up lots of sock yarn left overs (of which i still have many), however any 4 ply/fingering weight yarn will do. To tie everything together I use 100gm of a main colour and then rest in scarps of many colours (total weight 450gm). I started dark and moved to lighter near the neck edge. But it really is a great way project for colour free forming. It is knitted flat from the bottom up. I love wearing it, it’s so cosy.
Warning …. this is a large shawl. Finished it’ll measure 224cm wingspan and 100cm depth at centre.
Its knitted in garter stitch, so it’s a great no think knit.
Thanks to my friend Wendy for the modelling, I hope it helps you use up your sock yarn leftovers.
I’m making this available for free while we are all isolating in our homes. So happy shawl making and stay well dear knitters, Love, Ann
