West Crystal Cowl is a beginner pattern and easy knit up for gifting this holiday season. It takes only one skein of aran-weight yarn so not only is it a fast knit it’s also budget friendly. Make something cozy and deliciously warm for yourself or others.

The yarn used is aran-weight and knit in the round. It has an easy lace pattern that repeats and it easy to memorize.

Sample Knit:
I have made the cowl using 1 skein (50g/ 1.75 oz.) of Garnstudio Drops Air (65% Alpaca, 28% Polymide, 7% Wool) Aran Yarn in a light blue colourway. Substituting other aran-weight yarns would be appropriate as long as you meet gauge.

Difficulty: Beginner
You will need to know how to cast on, knit and purl stitch, decrease, and some easy lace stitches including yarnovers (instructions provided).

Sizes: Adult - Small (Medium, Large) and easily customizable

Dimensions: 9.5” /25cm Tall and 19 (21/23)“ / 49 (54, 59) cm Circumference

Size US 8/ 5.0mm 16” circular needles.
Stitch markers, including one unique
