West Winds
“O WILD West Wind, thou breath of Autumn’s being
Thou from whose unseen presence the leaves dead
Are driven like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing“ (Percy Bysshe Shelly, “Ode to the West Wind”)
With Autumn fast approaching I am dreaming of cooler days, falling leaves, and the cool bite to the wind as it comes in off the water. The West Winds sweater is my ode to the changing seasons, it pays homage to the traditional fisherman’s sweater meant to protect against the breeze while maintaining a modern cut and fit.
West Winds is worked from the top down using raglan shaping.
