Western Bay Infinity Scarf
I visited the USA for the 1st time in November 2016 and while I was there I visited a couple of different Michaels Stores. Among other things I came home with two Caron Cakes in my luggage.
Before I went I knew I wanted to find Caron Cakes, because I had read about them online and seen how popular they were. I purchased 2 colourways. My plan was to design something for each of them. At the time they were not available in New Zealand so I was pretty stoked. Now - they are! The craze has reached our shores!
This blend of colours reminded me of the beautiful countryside where I live, and the ocean that borders our coastline.
I have used 6 different stitch patterns in this item, and the scarf is edged at each side with a simple repeating stitch in every row. It is a great pattern for practising different stitches, whilst keeping your interest at the same time. I would class this as a pattern for the intermediate knitter.
This pattern is also suitable for using up stash yarn.
If using 6 different colours as in the design sample, I would recommend that you allow at least 60 m (66 yds) of each shade (same yarn thickness).
