This elegant little bonnet is a quick knit! It is worked back and forth from the face edge. Use a soft wool for an autumn/winter hat or soft cotton for a bonnet fit for springtime.

It is a beginner friendly pattern featuring one of my favorite stiches; The Estonian braid (or lateral braid). There are heaps of great youtube tutorials to help if you are unfamiliar with this :)

In addition to your yarn and needles you will need a ribbon for the chin strap, or you can make a braid from your yarn
