Snuggly, adorable, and can stand up for themselves! These are the qualities I need in my slippers (and men…). Such a small commitment, you can make new ones each season! These would also make great gifts for crafty, non-knitting friends who are brave enough to give felting a whirl!

These slippers are appropriate for an advanced beginner. Techniques used include knitting in the round using the Magic Loop technique, Judy’s magic cast on, and the Kitchener stitch.

Instructions in the pattern include detailling on adding leather soles and embroidering the edge of the cuff. These are optional steps.

Further notes on yarn: 3.25 - 5 oz aran weight yarn (200 – 300 yards/175 – 275 meters), depending on size of your feet. Fiber must have at least 50% wool or alpaca content so it felts! I would recommend something with 100% animal fiber. Note: if you want a contrasting flap, you will need about 2/3 your yarn to be the main color (shown as dark brown) and 1/3 of your yarn in contrast color (shown as light brown).
