Weybourne Warmers are designed to keep wrists warm and fingers free! They are ideal for using up 4-ply 20g minis, or any ends of balls you have stashed.

The pattern is designed so that when knitting with 4-ply, you always hold two strands of yarn together.
Knitting with two strands together, or marling, makes for a great ‘springy’ texture and increases your colour options.

Before you start, read the notes on the back page about planning your colours.

The warmers are knitted in the round, use your preferred method for knitting in the round: DPNs, magic loop, etc.

Size: circumference approximately 17 cm – 19 cm/small, 18 cm – 20 cm/medium, 19 cm – 21 cm/large (S/M/L).

They are quite stretchy. Length for the medium warmer is approximately 21 cm long.

The row counts given in the pattern will knit up to a warmer 21 cm in length. Use the gauge information below if you need to make any adjustments to length. Or, if you are knitting for yourself, simply try the warmer on every now and again, to ensure the fit you want.

Tip: if you are knitting these warmers for someone other than yourself, and they’re not around to try the warmers on as the knitting progresses, have them draw around their hand, so you have a guide to help you with some of the dimensions.

Gauge: 20 sts/32 rows per 10 cm square. 2sts/3 rows per 1 cm square.

Yarn: 4-ply, each warmer takes approximately 35g - 40g/160m yarn altogether. 70g – 80g/320m for a pair.

Needles: 4.00mm (US6) and 3.50mm (US3).
