In partnership with jennyandteddy.com, comes the Whale Coaster, adapted off of the Whale Crochet Applique by Jenny and Teddy. It is a larger version, big enough to happily hold just about any sized cup, and it also has a larger tail, and a cute little water spout as well.

The facial feautures are added with slip stitch or surface crochet free-form embroidery, so you can make happy whales and surprised whales, sad whales, angry whales…whatever floats your boat! :) It would be a great project for anyone who wants to practice surface crochet, or a one-sitting project…easily done in one hour or less!

This pattern is a beginner pattern, but it requires knowledge of the magic ring or working in the round.
