Whale Fluke Hat
This is what happens when you are trying to knit a hat with the whelk pattern and don’t convert to knitting in the round. A happy accident! It reminds me a bit of a whale fluke, so I called it a whale fluke hat.
I made a beanie (pictured) because I was low on yarn, but you can include more pattern repeats before the decreases if you desire a hat that goes over your ears. Be sure to budget slightly more yarn for this option.
Errata (fixed in pattern):
Decrease one stitch before beginning whale fluke stitch pattern (79 stitches total).
