For this pattern you’ll need at least 2 crochet hooks. I used a 4mm and a 5mm. I used a 4 medium weight yarn so I went down one hook size for the body (4mm). Then for the top patch of colour I used a 5mm.

Materials

• Yarn for the body; main colour (white)
• Yarn for the patch of colour; secondary colour (blue)
• Scrap amount of yarn to embroider gills (teal)
• Scrap amount of black felt or yarn for the eyes
• Stuffing

• Scissors
• Darning/sewing needle
• Crochet hook; one size down from the hook size your yarn suggests
• Stitch markers
• Sewing pins
• Weights - washers, rugs, marbles, anything that’s weighted
