Whaled It! is my first design, it was designed based on a lack of options for little boys sun hats. Mostly done in stockinette stitch with two purl rounds and a Latvian Braid to make this a flat brim, flat top hat. Adorable whales adorn the base of the hat, done in stranded color work, carrying unused color loosely across the back side. Sized for ages 6-12 months. I use two colors, white for the main color, deep ocean for the brim, whales, and top. I’ve also used a reinforcement piece of plastic inside the brim to help maintain the flat shape.
