Whaler hat
This is a project for advanced beginner/intermediate crocheter. The hat itself is very easy to make. The most difficult part is to make the pompom (in my opinion).
You can make the hat without the pompom and without the earflaps for a less decorated look. The plain version is quite charming, too.
The hat is size S, but it can easily be made larger: crochet a band as long as you need to fit your head and make the first row of the hat body 80 dc+multiple of 8 (e.g. 88 dc).
