“Esme Weatherwax hadn’t done nice. She’d done what was needed.” The Shepherd’s Crown, Terry Pratchett

This pattern is a tribute to Granny Weatherwax, Tiffany Aching, and all others who choose the right path for themselves in spite of the traditions and oppositions of others, and for the cause of making this world a better place.

Make it for a friend, or for you to wear on the days you need to remember that you are special, powerful, and perfect just as you are.

I used 2 balls of Vanna’s Glamour, held together to make a worsted weight. You could also split one ball into two; just don’t try to knit from both ends of one skein!

Worked with a single strand of fingering weight yarn, this should fit a child; one strand of sport should fit a toddler, but I’ve not tried out those variations yet. Please let me know how it works for you, if you try it!
