What's Behind The Ivy Cowl
The What’s Behind The Ivy cowl was influenced by iconic Wrigley Field and the brick walls that frame the field.
Two sizes are given in the pattern: Small (23” circumference) and Large (30” circumference). However, if you would like to make a different size, the stitch count is 5 stitches in pattern per inch to create the mesh base. Knowing that, you can easily adjust the size as needed.
Due to the nature of the fabric in creating this cowl, if you choose to block it, it only needs to be very lightly blocked. Stated gauge includes both stitches needed to create the openwork mesh base of the cowl.
The two color large cowl used two skeins of Cascade 220, one of each color, to complete.
The three color small cowl used three skeins of Cascade 220 Superwash, one of each color, to complete.
To create the colored strips of yarn that are woven into the mesh, the Foundation Single Crochet stitch is used. Directions on how to make this stitch are included in the pattern.
