Wheely is a fully reversible collar shaped cowl in two sizes, knit flat or in the round, from the top in fingering weight yarn.
The ribbed neck band will keep the breezes out while the shoulder coverage provides extra warmth under a coat.
The use of single purl stitch columns on the body of the cowl creates a spoked look, reminiscent of the bicycle wheels I see on my daily walks around the neighbourhood. The short textured band appearing at the beginning and end of the shoulder portion imitates the texture of the bicycle tyre.
The cowl is finished with an I-cord bind off.

The first image shows the right side of the cowl worn with a shawl pin closure
The second image shows the reverse side of the same cowl worn with a shawl pin closure

Size at top band 50, 60cm or 20, 24 inches
Circumference at lower edge 120, 150 cm or 48, 60 inches
Length as written is 20cm or 8 inches

Gauge 28 stitches and 40 rows per 10cm or 4 inches

While gauge is not important it will affect both the size and the yarn requirement
