The use of single purl stitch columns in a widening spoke look, reminiscent of the bicycle wheels I see on my daily walks around the neighbourhood. Immediately above the band and between each section there is a short textured repeat imitating the texture of the bicycle tyre.

The pattern is suitable for working on DPN’s or circulars, and may work 2 at time as both arms are the same.

The pattern requires some simple calculations as the required multiples change for each section. There are clear instructions as to how to make the calculations.

Gauge is more important for the sleeve length as the negative ease is required to keep the sleeve in place.
