Gauge is NOT IMPORTANT, as the width and length of the scarf can easily be adjusted by you.

Technically, this is a motif pattern because you are constructing one whole scarf to start and building additional squares on top of that to your desired length. The width of your squares can easily be adjusted by making the smaller/bigger than the written pattern.

I have recently learned that Be Sweet Bambino Taffy has been discontinued, but this pattern can be made with anything because the crocheter can easily control the size of the square motifs. If you are lucky enough to find Bambino Taffy, I used four skeins, as I prefer longer scarves.
