When in Delft
Pattern Notes
The bright blue and white ceramic known to the city of Delft NL captivated me on a recent day trip to this canal town.
Delft inks develop from black to hues of blue in the heat of the kiln and the final product transforms throughout the process.
You will enjoy knitting your long gradient through the short row waves on this cowl and watching it transform in your hands.
Big chunky wraps and massive scarves are so luxurious and beautiful but unfortunately my bad neck just won’t let me wear them without pain. This is the perfect compromise for me. A low hanging cowl with no flaps or tails to come untied and no extra bulk pushing your neck forward. It’s light enough to throw on during a warm fall day-trip to a nearby city.
When selecting your colors it may be helpful to know that the main color will be forming your waves through your fabric. The contrasting gradient color will make short row sections between your waves.
This project is knit flat and then seamed at the back (where nobody will see it)
