When You Wish Shawl is a pattern in which stitch patterns throughout represent stars in knitted form, beginning with the short row shaped first section into the gradually increased segments that follow and continuing through the applied edging to finish. This shawl was originally designed to benefit SHARE, an organization that supports bereaved parents through the loss of a pregnancy or an infant. If you are knitting this shawl following a loss, or knitting love into it for someone else suffering the loss of a loved one, my hope is that you find comfort and hope as you grieve.

Pattern is written, but some sections do have optional charted directions, as well.
