> Where did you get that
Where did you get that
The woes when your little ones walk out of school with a missing item from their winter wardrobe and you have to spend more money to replace that hat they lost or the scarf that went with the hat or even the gloves or mittens that went with that hat and scarf set.
This is my solution to that problem.
A smart and tidy one piece.
No more hanging around making sure their hat is straight and tying their scarves neatly or even fighting with hands to put gloves or mittens on.
How nice to just be able to place their hat on their head without worrying if the hat is on the right way. Instead, instant warmth and no time wasting.
My grandkids have enjoyed wearing them and my daughters friends children too. Mums from their childrens schools asked them where they bought it from.
The piece is very adjustable, you just need a few measurements from the recipient to get a customised size and your children, grandchildren and friends children, can have one too.
Sizing can be changed just by using a smaller or larger size needle. I used a smaller needle and made one for my 18 month old grand daughter because she wanted the same as her brother.
So why not give this pattern a go. THIS PRODUCT CAN BE MADE TO BE WORN BY ADULTS TOO.
The pattern is worked top down and worked using 2 strands of dk/8ply yarn (of choice) together.
Because of the interest given by others, to my daughter and her friend, my patterns name seems appropriate.
Magic loop on long circular needle is used for the crown increasing, then I changed to a 40 cm circular needle to work the body and brim of hat. I then changed to straight needles for the scarf. But you can quite easily do all with a long circular or double pointed needles.
This is made by working with 2 strands of yarn together, it makes for a tighter mesh which keeps more heat in and also it makes for a speedier knit.
Thank You.
