I loved Shel Silverstein as a child. My history teacher would always begin his class with one of his poems. Discovering that poetry could be funny was a door opener for me. I will never be a poet or a poetry expert, but because of Mr. Kennedy, I will always have an appreciation for that art. Here is my tribute to Shel Silverstein and Mr. Kennedy.
