PATTERN INFORMATION
When I shared a photo of this design in my favourite knitting group on Facebook, someone asked “Where’s the spider?” and I thought it was the perfect name for the pattern - if you use hand dyed yarn, the colour variations in your yarn create lines that resemble a spider web.

Where’s The Spider? is a seamless pullover with an unusual construction - it starts with hexagon-shaped upper back and front, worked from the centre outwards. When the two pieces are wide enough, they are joined and worked top down and in the round, with small sections of short rows at the sides for even body length. Raglan sleeves are knitted onto the body - the whole sweater is seamless.
The pattern is available in a wide range sizes, from kids’ size 2 years to women’s size 2X. Kids’ sizes are unisex.

Kids’ sizes are unisex and are intended to be worn with 5-7
cm / 2-3 in of positive ease, women’s sizes are intended to
be worn with 0-7 cm /0-3 in of positive ease.

Gauge
(measured after blocking)
• stockinette st: 23 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm / 4 in, with larger needle(s)
• 1x1 rib: 23 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm / 4 in, with smaller needle(s), slightly stretched

Skills needed
Knitting in the round, increases, decreases, picking up sts, crochet chain provisional CO, German short rows.

Materials
Yarn
460 (510, 600, 680, 785, 885) {1040, 1250, 1350, 1520, 1680} m / 500 (560, 660, 750, 860, 970) {1140, 1320,
1490, 1660, 1850} yds of Malabrigo Arroyo (100% merino wool, 305 m / 335 yds per 100g, shown in Reflecting Pool and English Rose) or similar sport or light DK yarn that will give you the correct gauge. Use yarn that blocks well - wool will work best.

Needles and notions
• 4 mm (US size 6) and 3.75 mm (US size 5) circular needles, 60-100 cm / 24-40 in long, for body
• 4 mm (US size 6) and 3.75 mm (US size 5) needles in your preferred style for knitting small circumferences in the rnd, for upper body and sleeves
• 4 mm (US size 6) spare circular needle used as holder
• 5 stitch markers in colour A (increase markers), 2 stitch markers in colour B (side markers), one locking marker
• scrap yarn
• 3.5 mm (US size E) crochet hook, for circular cast on
