Whip up a “Where’s Waldo’s Family?” hat for each member of your family. You’ll always be able to find them with that big red pom-pom on top!

If “Where’s Waldo?” isn’t your thing, don’t limit yourself to just red and white. Perhaps you have a favorite color combination, or even a single color that you’d like to use instead. Go for it!

There is a chart in the pattern that will help you choose the appropriate size, based on head circumference. The top-down construction makes it easy to give the hat more or less “slouch,” based on personal preference. Back-loop-only slip-stitch creates the “ribbing” that is attached after the body of the hat is completed.

One skein each of red and white Berroco Comfort worsted-weight yarn was more than enough to make a premie and infant sized hat, as well as the pom-poms. Total yardage needed for your hat will depend on the size you choose to make.
