Which Way is Up Cable Scarf
This pattern is not my typical pattern. It doesn’t give gauge or exact needle size. These are decisions to be made by you. The scarf is a completely reversible design with cables and a moss stitch base on both sides.
Read through the pattern and I believe you will find an easy to make scarf even though it isn’t written out step by step.
Oct. 2018. During a trip to Ireland last month I bought 2 skeins of Studio Donegal Soft Tweed. The next few days were spent knitting this scarf for our driver/guide.
The newest version was knit on a size 8 needle and I used all the yardage possible in the 2 skeins.
Using the size 8 needle gave a softer, more pliable scarf. Since then I have made the scarf again in Studio Donegal Tweed, also size 8 needle. The stitch definition was a bit better with the Tweed but it was not quite as soft.
