Welcome to my Whimsical Woodlands Christmas Tree Skirt pattern.
We spend a lot of time and money decorating our Christmas Trees every year only to have the 3 pronged base sticking out at the bottom of the tree looking bare and ordinary until the tree is surrounded by presents.
This simple and textured skirt wraps around the base of your tree to give it a hug and decorate the stand while also setting the scene and enhancing all those beautiful ornaments you have on your tree. Then you have a lovely, soft, and pretty background for your gifts until Christmas day arrives.
Make your skirt in your favourite Christmas colours, whether they are traditional red, white and green or some of the more modern colours like dusty pinks and sparkly teals. The choice is entirely yours.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner.

Finished Size: Approximately 50cm from the top opening to the outer edge.

You’ll need:
4.5 mm Hook, Yarn (embroidery) needle, Scissors, Pins

Yarn: I’ve used Fiddlesticks Superb 8 100gms/250m per ball.
Colour 1 = C1 – Green x 3 balls (approx. 600m used)
Colour 2 = C2 – White x 3 balls (approx. 720m used)
Colour 3 = C3 – Gold x 1 ball (Only needed about 10gms)
Colour 4 = C4 – Red x 1 ball (Only needed about 10gms)
