This pattern uses overlay mosaic crochet technique, and has two design components which can be repeated as desired. Included are two suggestions for a larger afghan and for a smaller afghan or baby blanket.

Yarn weight and hook size are up to you, though I would reccommend a 3/Sport/DK weight or a 4/Worsted weight, with a 3.75-5mm needle depending on your tension.

I used cotton (for the first time! I usually use acrylic yarn) in my sample and twisted ends. You will need to add more yardage for borders if you prefer.
