About Whina: (pronounced Fee-nah)
Whina the Fantail is part of the New Zealand Wildlife Collection. Whina is a life-sized Fantail with a simplified body shape to make it easy for all skill levels to create. Whina is a friendly wee bird who loves to hop around and meet people. Fantails or Pīwakawaka in te reo Māori are very energetic birds and are the most common and widely distributed birds in New Zealand.
