Whipped Up Shell
by Kim Driggs
One of my favorite baking short cuts is to frost a cake with whipped topping. You know, that stuff that comes in a tub? Yum! This shell is worked in one piece from the top down. The simple shape shows off the fun textures of the cluster stitch collar and edging and offset stripe stitch body, with a cute little button placket at the collar for a sweet touch.
This is the fifth pattern in a book of layering pieces inspired by cake.
