This as a companion piece to my Knitted Undersea Pi Vest pattern.

This starts in the center and swirls out in a single crochet and chain stitch spiral. As the piece widens out a second layer of the serial begins and eventually dissolves into a forth of lace at the edge accented with shell fans.

In between, armholes are created to change the shawl into a vest.
