The Whirlwind Beanie & Messy Bun Hat works up quickly and is super fun too! I really like the way that Red Heart Super Saver Stripes adds a new dimension to this hat! It has a fantastic texture, which is pleasing to the eye, and touch too!

I love to pair this hat with homemade faux fur pompoms, attached with a button.. you can easily switch out the pom for a new look! (just remember to remove prior to washing - faux fur poms do not enjoy a bath!)

Listed as a Teen/Average Adult size hat, but it can be easily changed to fit all sizes! It has a bit of a slouch, which looks great with the PomPom!

Can be made in solids, or 2 (or more) colors! (I have included instructions listed on how to make the striped pattern shown)

This pattern is worked from the bottom up.
You will need 1 or 2 colors of #4 WW yarn of your choice (I have used Big Twist Yarn in Buttercup, and Red Heart Super Saver in Retro Stripes, and RHSS in Grenadine and RHSS in Flamenco Stripes)
I and J hook
Scissors
yarn needle
Pompom of your choice - yarn or faux fur both look great with this hat!
(I make my PomPoms 7.25 inches in diameter)
