Lightweight wool boatneck with intarsia and embroidery sleeve detail. Inspired by Victorian thaumatropes, the black “string” stripes wrap around your body, and the bird and cage embroidered circles parade up the sleeves.

The bodice is worked in one piece, so, bottom up for the front, and top down for the back. Set-in sleeves are worked separately. A yarn or larger tapestry needle is useful for the embroidery on the sleeves. Photos of backstitch and charts are included along with written instructions.

Pattern calls for 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins #225F Brick Road, and 1 skein each #601 Pepper and #730 Natural for all sizes.
