Whiskey Barrel Mitts use a unique, Hazel’s Daisies original technique - the Cheater’s Braid, to create interesting horizontal knit striping. Because of the way the Cheater’s Braid works, it’s possible to do tons of different color combinations across the body of the mitt and on the stripes themselves! It’s a pattern that really allows the creative juices to flow on color selection.

The pattern is written for five sizes in Super Bulky weight yarn - use the hand(y) measurements to guide size choice. There is also an option for each size to do fingerless mitts!

Never done the Cheater’s Braid? No problem! The pattern includes a full color photo tutorial and video links with chapter bookmarks for easy reference (for both the full mitt and the fingerless mitt version)!
