Whiskey in a Teacup is one of the first shawls I ever envisaged.

The inspiration for this shawl was inspired by some the most beautiful and amazingly strong women I have ever meet. I will be forever grateful. Without these women I would never have found the courage to design. So, thank you.

These women helped to find the real me, the one who wasn’t the daughter, sister, mum, or the wife, ME!

This large and beautiful crescent shaped, dk weight shawl, is perfect for those cooler days where you just need to wrap yourself in something warm and cozy.

This strong, yet delicate shawl is made up of a lace body with a cable border. As far as I am concerned, the perfect shawl.

The cable represents strength, that inner strength that women have, the strength that surrounds us when we as women support and nurture each other.

The lace, the ability to be soft, but strong, feminine and tough.

The cables are the whiskey, mellow, strong, subtle.

The lace is the teacup, dainty, feminine, fragile but not weak and together they make a complete woman.

This shawl is for women everywhere who think they are not enough. You are, you always were, you always will be.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
US #9/5.5mm long cable needed for 300 sts.
US #10/6mm for cast off.
Stitch markers, Cable needle, darning needle
GAUGE
Use Cresent Wings pattern, 1 repeat plus K1, p1, k1, before repeat.
Knit flat in 5.5mm needles, after blocking.
10cm/4” – 15 sts x 24 rows (4 repeats high).
