The Whisper Cardigan is perfect for spring and summer wear, and it’s also great as innerwear on chilly days. Featuring a combination of lace and cable patterns across the yoke, it exudes a feminine charm. As you move down the body, the stitch pattern is replaced by stockinette stitch leaving a few cable motifs, adding an element of asymmetry and making the Whisper Cardigan youthful and trendy.

The cardigan is worked from the top down. First, the upper back is shaped with short rows and worked to the underarms then placed on hold. Stitches for the shoulders are picked up along the cast on edge.
The right front is worked to the underarm then placed on hold while the left front is worked. Underarm onwards, all pieces are joined and worked in one piece. When the body is completed, the sleeves are picked up along the armhole opening, then worked in the round to the cuff.

Ce cardigan est travaillé du haut en bas. Tout d’abord, le haut du dos est façonné à l’aide de rangs raccourcis et travaillé jusqu’aux aisselles, puis mis en attente. Les mailles pour les épaules sont relevées le long du bord de montage. Ensuite, le devant droit est travaillé jusqu’à l’aisselle, mis en attente pendant que le devant gauche est réalisé. Toutes les pièces sont ensuite assemblées au niveau des aisselles et travaillées en une seule pièce. Une fois le corps terminé, les manches sont relevées le long de l’ouverture de l’emmanchure, puis travaillées en rond jusqu’aux poignets.
