Pattern is written using UK crochet terms. A glossary with the difference between US and UK terms is available on the pattern pdf and in the pattern book.

Garment is worked using a 3mm hook, which is in-between a US C2 and D3.

You will also need 8 x 1/2” (12 mm) buttons. Rowan used wooden buttons #TGB4456 from Textile Garden in the UK.
