White mouse Peter
“White mouse Peter” toy is knitted in the round on 4 double-pointed needles in stockinette stitch and will be 20 cm 8 inches tall when finished.
The sweater is worked on two needles in pieces and later seamed. The pants are knitted in the round.

The pattern is written as row-by-row description and contains helpful step-by-step photos for important parts.
Yarns used:
– body, sweater and pants: Novita Alpaca Wool (50% alpaca, 50% wool; 50g 1.75 oz = 100 m 109.4 yds) in White and Gray.
– sweater and ears: Novita Baby Wool (100% merino wool; 50g 1.75 oz = 113 m 123 yds) in Blue and Pink.
You may use any yarn of similar yarn weight with a comparable fiber content. Softer yarns are better suitable. Using yarn of a different yarn weight than that of the pictured sample doll is also perfectly acceptable, but will affect the size of the finished toy.
Individual color requirements:
– 25 g 0.9 oz white yarn for the body and for the doll’s sweater,
– 5 g 0.18 oz blue yarn for the stripe on the sweater,
– 7 g 0.25 oz gray yarn for the pants,
– 2 g 0.07 oz pink yarn for the ears.
Other materials needed:
– 15 g 0.53 oz white modeling clay (Fimo or Cernit) to create the shaped nose,
– 2 beads for the eyes,
– one pink bead for the nose of the mouse, or a small piece of baked clay,
– embroidery floss the same color as the beads for the eyes
– set of 5 DPNs in size 2.5 mm US1.5
– crochet hook in size 2.5 mm US1.5
– polyester filling or wool roving as stuffing ,
– extra long sewing needle or threading bodkin for assembly
– tapestry needle for seaming pieces,
– one decorative button, diameter 4 mm 0.15 in,
– 2 safety pins.
Required knowledge:
– long-tail cast-on
– casting on in the round with a crochet hook (pattern contains link to video tutorial)
– knitting in the round on DPNs and knitting flat
– stockinette stitch
– reverse stockinette
– knit, purl, k2tog and kfb
– basic hand sewing skills for assembly
