ABOUT
This textured headband is made of single crochets and post stitches and can be worked up in one sitting; perfect for gifting during the holidays! Instructions are included to create a pinch in the fabric, intended to be worn in the front, although you are welcome to omit this element entirely for a headband with the same width all the way around.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Worsted—Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Fisherman
- 80% Acrylic; 20% Wool
- 197 yds (180 m) per 3 oz (85 g) skein
- Find this yarn on lionbrand.com or visit yarnsub.com to find comparable substitutes
Yardage: 1 skein or 100 yds (91 m)
If substituting Lion Brand Wool-Ease, choose any similar, category #4 worsted weight yarn that matches gauge. You can also easily substitute any other yarn weight with a corresponding hook and work to your desired dimensions.
Hook: Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle
GAUGE
After first 9 rows, work should measure approximately 3” (7.5 cm) in height and 3.75” (9.5 cm) in width.

PATTERN NOTES
Skill Level: Beginner
Turning Chain: The turning chain does not count as a stitch.
Stitch Counts: Stitch counts are listed after each row. If no stitch count is given, there has been no change since the previous row.
Right Side: The “right side” of the fabric is the side facing you when you are crocheting the double crochet rows.
Fpdc: When you work your front post double crochets, you will be instructed to stitch into the dc from 2 rows below. This means you will skip over your recently completed row of single crochets and stitch into the double crochet just beneath this row of single crochets to create the look of an elongated stitch.
