This color work toque was inspired by the barred owls that live in the woods behind my house. Suitable for intermediate knitters, but an adventurous beginner could knit it too!

This hat should fit most adults, but if you wanted to make it smaller or larger you could subtract or add 45 stitches to your cast on and knit one fewer or one additional section of the chart.
