This is a versatile and simple hat worked in the round using WORSTED weight yarn. There are also instructuions for using a DK weight yarn as well. Additionally you can work a variety of brim styles such as a rolled brim or variousl styles of ribbing. This hat can also be worked in blocks of color, thus making a “whole lot of hats” from just one pattern.

Brim options are: rolled brim, K1-P1 rib, K2 - P2 rib, or a K3 - P1 rib. Choose which ever style brim you want for your hat and work the following instructions for that style.

There are also instructions for how to use alternate weight yarns i.e. sock or bulky weight yarn. So this pattern is a real primer for any basic beanie that you would want to knit, using what ever weight yarn you have available.
