Whydah Scarf
The Whydah Scarf features cables that evoke coins and medallions of pirate treasure. Moss stitch edging and texture add sophistication and interest to the rows while also helping to curb rolling. Cabled Pattern Repeat charted and written. The Whydah Scarf features cable repeats on both ends of the scarf and ribbing around the back of the neck. Named for the ship loaded with treasure that Captain Samuel Bellamy commandeered on its maiden voyage in 1716. History says Bellamy was like the Robin Hood of pirates and he actually traded ships with the Whydah’s original captain when he captured the ship.
