For this project, you’ll need #4 worsted weight yarn in black and green, but feel free to use any brand. You can also opt for orange or self-striping yarn for a unique looking cat. Additionally, you’ll require a 5.00 mm crochet hook, a 7-inch zipper, a sheet of black felt, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends. To attach the zipper, you’ll also need a sewing needle and black thread. Finally you will need a fabric glue or hot glue gun to attach your felt to your project! Optionally, you may want to use purse hardware for the strap; while it’s not essential, some people prefer using D-rings or purchasing straps online for their finished purses.

-Sc: single crochet
-Inc: increase
-Dec: decrease
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Hdc: half double crochet
-Sts: stitches

Other Important Information:
This purse is worked in rows to create flat panels that will then be single crocheted together to create a finished project. To complete this pattern, you must have a basic understanding of crochet color work! If you can change colors during a project, you should be fine!
