Like a special friendship, these cables are full of fun, but also steady and strong whether friends are together or apart. Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked are so very different, as these cables running in opposite directions, but when they come together they find they are unstoppable!

This is a top/cuff down sock pattern.

This pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes (S 56 stitches, M 64 stitches, and Large 72 stitches).

Also included are modifications for an alternate cuff and heel flap.

Yarn and notions:

Yarn: 100g Fingering weight
Sample in Super Sock, by Tippy Tree Yarns
Colourway Wicked, and contrasting mini in Little Black Cats

Needles: 2.5mm with long cable for magic loop (or 9 inch circulars, or dpns if preferred).

Please note that cabling tightens your knitting. It is highly recommended to use at least 2.5mm needles for this pattern, and to go up to 2.75 mm if you are a tight knitter. It is also suggested that you try on the sock regularly to ensure you are happy with the fit.

Gauge: 8 sts per 1 inch in stockinette stitch.
