Wickenberry
A large shawl featuring concentric circles which separate the individual colour from a 4 x 50 gm gradient set. Once blocked it will be approx 200cm x 50cm (at the widest part). Please note that this shawl looks best when it is blocked to produce a straight top edge and accentuate the concentric half circles.
It is knit on 3mm circular needles (100cm length) and used 4 x 50 grams of 4 ply yarn in a gradient set plus one 100 gm ball of co-ordinating yarn. I used Wool is the Answer gradient set in Blackberry with Raspberry Crush as the contrast.
The shawl is knitted mostly in garter stitch with the contrast parts worked in a very simple 4 stitch repeating open lace pattern. It is suitable for any skill level and may be used as a simple introduction to lacework for a novice.
