Construction: The Wickford Cowl is a lace pattern perfect for changing seasons. This cowl uses a worsted weight wool, making it a perfect layering piece for cool spring evenings or brisk fall mornings. This cowl has both written and charted instructions and perfect for an adventurous knitters ready to take on a lace project.
Skill level: Intermediate
Skills needed: Knitting and purling in the round, k2tog and ssk decreases, yo increases.

Circumference: 32” (80 cm)
Height: 17” (42.5 cm)
Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rounds per 4” (10.0 cm) in lace stitch pattern knit in the round after blocking (note: each repeat of the cable pattern is 12 sts wide and is 28 rounds long)
Materials:
- US 8 (5.0 mm) 24” (60 cm) circular knitting needle or size needed to obtain gauge.
- 350 yards/ 320 m worsted weight wool or wool-blend yarn. Sample shown in O-Wool O-Wash Worsted (100% merino, 100 g, 179 yds/ 163 m) in Pearly Mussel.
