Wide Awake Scarf
Wide Awake Scarf Crochet Pattern (PDF instant download), named after the song by Katy Perry.
This scarf is made with 1-2 hanks of any Yarntuary sock or fingering weight yarn in the shop!
You could also make this with 2 hanks of DK, sport or worsted weight yarn! It is super easy to customize to use with different weights and make different sizes (to make wider, increase beginning ch and to make longer, increase repeat rows).
Stitches used are ch, sl, sc, dc and Yarntuary’s Chrysanthemum stitch! Half of the rows are just made of ch and sc so once you get the hang of the other half, the scarf works up pretty quick!
The pattern contains clear, detailed instructions and photos throughout. Also included is a bonus stitch guide at the end with step-by-step instructions and photos for all stitches used in the pattern.
The level of the pattern is intermediate. Most of the scarf is made by repeating a set of four rows (two of which are very similar) so you’ll get a hang of it in no time!
The scarf is unique and looks great in solid and multi-color yarns! It looks super cute wrapped around the neck and thrown over the shoulder.
