Wide Open Spaces is an easy crochet poncho with a wide open mesh-like stitch pattern that makes it perfect for Spring and Summer. Wear it as a poncho or wear it as a swimsuit cover up.

The poncho is crocheted in one piece from end to end and then folded and seamed partially along the top edge, leaving a neck opening and a side slit. The poncho is finished off with a picot edging around the neck opening, along the bottom edge and in the side slit.

Choose a sport weight yarn in six colors (as shown), such as Scheepjes Spirit (four neutral colors and two bright colors), or two or three colors (one neutral and one color, or one neutral and two colors), or use one yarn that has long colors changes, such as Scheepjes Our Tribe yarn.

Scheepjes Spirit is a lightweight cotton/acrylic yarn that comes in beautiful colors and is light and fluffy and great for Spring and Summer.
