Width Play Tunic
I love knit dresses for little girls, but was having trouble finding one that was pretty without being overly girly or frilly. Width Play has pairs of stripes that gradually change width down the dress, which keeps it interesting to knit but still fairly simple, and the picot edging at the collar, sleeves and neck keeps the dress feminine. The dress is knit in one piece from the collar down, with the sleeves being put on hold and worked at the end after the body is complete. Width Play has a flared skirt, and is shorter than many dresses, making it easier for little girls to crawl. It looks great paired with cute tights or leggings!
